Message in a Bottle was brought to live inspired in this idea of “destiny”. Due to our quest to always look at things from a new perspective, we traveled, and specialized in the Tourism and Lifestyle industry.
I was a journalist for nearly two decades and worked in publications such as: eMarketeer, Quo, Meios & Publicidade, Construir e Publituris. In addition, I organized the first editions of Portugal Travel Awards and Portugal Trade Awards. I have a degree in Hotel Management from INDEG / ADHP and have been a press officer for various institutions and companies. At the same time, I’m the Communication Manager of Alentejo Tourism Promotion Agency.
Originally from Slovenia, my studies brought me to Lisbon and work to Rio de Janeiro where I had the chance to work for FIFA, the Olympic Committee and other organizations. After returning to Slovenia I worked for one of the main advertising agencies in the country and spearheaded marketing projects for international and national clients and brands. Life brought me back to Lisbon and Message in a Bottle.
I am originally from São Tomé and Príncipe but have lived in Portugal for most of my life. My professional career began when I was just eighteen years old. Since then, I have had the opportunity of working on different businesses segments and for the past eight years have been working in administrative positions for multinational corporations such as PT Empresas, Lidl, and Sonae. I graduated in Public Administration and Territory Policies at Lisbon University.
I started my activity in Communication in Cinema, a truly passion for me. After that, I had the privilege of working as a PR Manager and Communications Consultant for Luxury, Consumer and Fashion brands such as: Sephora, Gant, Lonchamp, YSL Beauté, Sonae and Jerónimo Martins. I was also responsible for the communication of Experimenta Design, a Portuguese Bienal, dedicated to Design and developing the communication’s and brand image strategy of Dior in Portugal.
For nearly two decades I have been working in communication agencies in Lisbon; a city that serves as constant inspiration in my pursuit of excellence. I have worked for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Mango, Havaianas, Cia. Maritima, NikeWomen, Diesel, Grupo Sàfilo and Massimo Dutti.
A true born and bred citizen of Porto, I graduated in Tourism and obtained a Postgraduate in Communications. The year of 2013 is when I stepped into the world of Communication and Marketing. My focus on tourism led me to participate in the creation of a project entitled “Feira das Viagens”. During my professional journey I worked with clients such as the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Tourism of the Dominican Republic, “Portugal Sou Eu” and AEP – Associação Empresarial de Portugal, amongst others.
I am a graduate in Management and I am currently finishing my Masters in Marketing, but I was recently conquered by the Communication area. I have been involved in projects in the tourism sector, which is an area that I consider very interesting and enriching, since knowing new places and new cultures is undoubtedly my greatest source of inspiration!
I’m a Graphic Designer with more than 12 years of experience. Throughout that period, I worked in some of the most important design offices in Brazil, for clients of all business sizes - global and local - developing a wide range of projects, especially in the areas of branding, packaging, POS, and wayfinding. I worked with clients such as: The Coca-Cola Company (Coca-Cola; Fanta; Leão Fuze; Burn; Schweppes; Del Valle/Minute Maid; Crystal), Procter & Gamble (Crest; Ariel; Ace; Always), L’Oréal (Elseve; Fructis), Embraer, Rio de Janeiro City Council (World Youth Day; FIFA World Cup 2014; Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games), TIM, Bob’s, Grupo Technos, among others.
I started to work as a journalist in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in 2005 and had the chance to head two monthly publications. In 2012, I pursued a training in digital marketing with a focus in content creation. The experience I am proudest of was being the editorial coordinator and manager of Runner’s World Portugal magazine, the most widely read racing magazine in the world.
I am a manager in the Tourism, Restaurant and Lifestyle areas, with a vast experience in creating brands. I was chairman of the AHP (the Portuguese Hotels Association). I am an entrepreneur by nature and an aesthete.
