Action: Churchill’s has a unique place in the Port and Douro wine industry in Portugal. From its origins, it has remained a family business and is now the last independent Port wine shipper. Since 2021, this unique personality has been communicated by Message in a Bottle through Media Relations.

Also in 2021, we planned and communicated a brand activation in collaboration with the visual artist Kruella D’Enfer, who painted a mural in Churchill’s gardens to honour the company’s 40th anniversary.

In 2022, we renewed our communication plan to publicise Churchill’s own renewal. Focusing on its cross-cutting rebranding, the agency’s communication highlights Churchill’s sustainability policy, the new generation at the helm, and its primordial independence expressed in the new visual identity.

 

Results: Overall, Churchill’s communication has resulted in closer ties with specialised wine press, which has yielded qualitative articles. We also highlight the brand’s greater presence in content created by digital platforms and lifestyle media, which translates into a rather positive diversification of its communication with the end consumer and allows for the reinforcement of Churchill’s lifestyle focus – from its wine bar to its wine tourism.
